What You’ll Learn
Our Counter Balance Forklift course blends theory and practical application to ensure well-rounded proficiency. Topics include:
- Regulatory Frameworks & Best Practices – Study OHSA, CSA, ANSI standards, and employer/employee responsibilities to ensure full compliance.
- Forklift Design & Functionality – Understand the anatomy—from mast to load backrest—and how it affects handling and stability.
- Pre‑Operational Inspections – Master daily safety checks for hydraulics, tires, forks, battery or propane systems, and warning devices.
- Safe Loading & Handling Techniques – Learn proper load selection, placement, and balancing to prevent tip-overs and load shifts.
- Operational Procedures & Hazard Avoidance – Navigate starting, driving, reversing, steering, braking, and safe maneuvering in varied settings.
- Worksite Safety & Pedestrian Awareness – Develop hazard recognition skills and communication protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintenance Essentials – Get familiar with refueling, battery changes, and equipment upkeep to extend lifespan and performance.
- Train-the-Trainer Option – Gain certification to train colleagues and embed safety practices within your organization.
How This Training Works
Our training model is built for flexibility and effectiveness:
Interactive Classroom Instruction
Focused sessions—either on-site or at our facility—cover regulations, forklift components, safety standards, and operational theory.Hands-On Learning & Evaluation
Practice makes perfect. Under instructor supervision, trainees will perform inspections, handling maneuvers, and demonstrate safe load movement.Certification
Upon passing both theoretical and practical evaluations, you’ll receive a wallet card and operator certification valid for up to three years.Train-the-Trainer Program (Optional)
