What You’ll Learn
We designed this program to deliver comprehensive understanding and practical capability:
- Regulations & Responsibilities – Learn applicable Ontario legislation and standards, including OHSA requirements and CSA guidelines, and understand the roles of operators, supervisors, and employers.
- Equipment Fundamentals & Types – Get familiar with order pickers (also known as stock pickers or cherry pickers), their components, operation mechanisms, and how they compare to other industrial trucks.
- Pre-Operational Inspections – Master daily inspections for equipment integrity, hydraulic systems, power supply (battery or propane), safety devices, and load-rated components.
- Safe Operating Procedures – Learn load-handling techniques, platform positioning, height-specific maneuvering, speed moderation, and fall stay clear protocols. Forklift Training in Toronto | +2
- Hazard Awareness & Fall Protection – Understand risks like falls from height, tip-overs, falling objects, and pedestrian collisions; learn to use full-body harnesses, conduct rescue planning, and follow fall protection standards.
- Maintenance & Record-keeping – Stay compliant by documenting inspections, reporting defects, and performing routine maintenance for reliable equipment operation. F
