What You’ll Learn
We’ll guide you through every critical component—from regulations to real-world operation—so you leave prepared and certified:
- Regulatory Foundations – Learn Ontario’s OHSA requirements and CSA B335-15 standards governing powered pallet truck training and certification. Training must align with employer obligations and safe operation mandates.

- Pre-Operation Safety Checks – Practice the essential daily inspection routine—checking brakes, forks, controls, power (battery/propane), and emergency equipment to catch issues before they escalate.
- Safe Operation & Load Handling – Learn how to operate smoothly when maneuvering, turning, picking up, transporting, and placing loads—always prioritizing stability, visibility, and awareness.
- Hazard Recognition & Pedestrian Safety – Develop strategies for dealing with workplace hazards and protecting pedestrians—key in busy operations.
- Battery & Maintenance Essentials – Cover best practices for battery recharging, safe fueling, routine maintenance, and record-keeping to maximize safety and equipment lifespan.
- Evaluation & Certification – Complete a written assessment and practical skills demonstration to receive a recognized certificate and wallet card—typically valid for 3 years.
